T.L.C. HAPPI SCALP™ SCRUB DESCRIPTION
What it is: A supercharged AHA/BHA acid blend dissolves dead skin cells and styling product buildup while biodegradable- gentle exfoliating beads sweep them away.
Hair Type: Straight- Wavy- Curly- and Coily
Hair Texture: Fine- Medium- and Thick
Key Benefits: Volumizing- Color Safe- and Protects Against Damage- Split Ends- and Breakage
Formulation: Lightweight Scrub
Highlighted Ingredients:
- 10% T.L.C. Framboos™ AHA Blend: (G) glycolic plus (T) tartaric- (L) lactic- and (C) citric acids specially formulated to rapidly break down and dissolve built-up dead skin cells as well as styling product buildup in minutes.
- Cellulose Acetate: Plant-derived biodegradable scrub agent that is perfectly spherical and provides a gentle physical exfoliation to sweep away the buildup of dead cells and other substances from the scalp; cellulose acetate is an ideal alternative to the environmentally problematic polyethylene beads- the too-soft jojoba beads and the too-abrasive crushed nut shells.
- Marula Oil: Super-absorbable oil- high in critical antioxidants and omegas 6 and 9- helps moisturize- nourish- and rejuvenate skin for a youthful glow.
What Else You Need to Know: Drunk Elephant's secret for a healthy scalp and fuller hair. Using antioxidant and fatty acid-rich plant oils and a quick-absorbing multi-amino acid blend- T.L.C. Happi Scalp™ Scrub keeps the scalp nourished- flake-free- and balanced. T.L.C. Happi Scalp™ Scrub has a pH level of 3.7.
Drunk Elephant difference:
Drunk Elephant is clean- but in their opinion- clean is not enough when it comes to caring for skin. They make Clean Compatible skincare. Drunk Elephant is committed to using only ingredients that either directly benefit the skin's health or support the integrity and effectiveness of their formulations. They never take into account an ingredient's synthetic or natural status- but instead choose based on biocompatibility. You won't find what they call the Suspicious 6 in their products (essential oils- drying alcohols- silicones- chemical sunscreens- fragrances/dyes- and SLS) making them- in their opinion- appropriate for all skin. They believe that these six ubiquitous ingredients are at the root of almost every skin issue we see- and when entirely removed from one's routine- (a clean break)- skin can reset and return to a healthy- balanced state. It is equally- if not more- important what they leave out of the products as what they put in. This ingredient-elimination diet (think Whole30 for your face) inspired the #barewithus Instagram movement- a collection of bare-faced selfies chronicling the Drunk Elephant journeys of people who have found success using the line and renewed confidence in their own skin. When formulating their products- Drunk Elephant focuses on biocompatibility- pH levels- and safety- always making sure that the active ingredients are at efficacious levels and remain respectful and always supportive of skin's acid mantle.
Drunk Elephant is a supporter of IEF (International Elephant Foundation) and is cruelty-free.
